 The band Whiskey Galore evolved in 1997 as a result of friendship and a deep passion for Celtic music between Mike Bowen and Kevin B. With the addition of Jeff Davis in 2002 this duo became a trio. Bassist Rich Spencer joined the band in 2004, making the band a quartet. We are frequently supported by the lovely singing voice of piper Kevin's wife Kristin.
The band is based in Bakersfield, California; their motto is "American Bred, Celtic Fed". Whiskey Galore's spirited brand of music has stirred fans in various venues in California and Nevada.
Whiskey Galore is a mix of raw and technical musical talent, blended together, producing lively Celtic music that can not be rivaled.

On October 23, 2009 we will celebrate the Celtic new year with locals 1916 and Monterey Bay's own "Bog Iron" group of irish hard rockers. The party is at FISHLIPS and we are ready to play! Please join us. $10 at the door. |

Hi Everyone! We've had a lot of people asking about where the band is staying for the Crooked Kilt gig in el Ciudad de los Pasos de Robles (aka Paso Robles). We will be staying at the Motel 6! Kenny and Michelle (and probably Bobby Lee) are coming over and Roddy and Rene will be partying with us too! Don't miss out. We're even bringing 800lb Gorilla bassist Les PAw to run the sound. Hope to see all of you there! The Crooked Kilt promises to be a fantastic night of music and drink and we hear the food is outstanding too. We will be joined by the Central Coast Pipes and Drums! |

We are thrilled to announce that we will be sharing the stage up on the "East Side" with 800lb Gorilla (Cow-punk Rebel Rock geniuses!) and The Councilmen (fresh from getting a song into a movie!). This should be one incredible night of music folks! August 14, 2009. Show starts sometime around 8pm. |
